Do you ever wonder why you make the same New Year’s resolutions every year and they never seem to work.  I’m going to show you how to make resolutions that work.  Usually you start off with good intentions like “I’m going to lose those 20 extra pounds this year” or “this year I’m going to stop smoking cigarettes.” You may even join a gym in January and go a few times, before life just seems to get in the way, and you go less and less.  Then December rolls around again and you’re in the same stuck place.

The secret is to word the resolution as a suggestion directly to the subconscious mind,  so it can break old habit patterns. I’m going to share with you the “magic” formula for making resolutions that work.  There are 6 basic rules to the formula:

1. State the resolution in the present tense.
2. It should be a positive statement.
3. It should be simple.
4. It should be believable.
5. It should be measurable.
6. It should carry a reward.
Here are some examples:
“Every day I take 10,000 steps and that makes me feel more energized and healthy.”

“I eat a pound of fresh fruit and fresh vegetables every day so I lose weight easily and naturally.”

Of course making changes in your life is not always easy.  Old subconscious habit patterns can sabotage your conscious and well-meaning intentions.  You can work on your desired changes on the conscious level by using affirmations, going to a psychotherapist or even joining a support group.  Or you can work directly at the subconscious level with hypnosis to recognize and reprogram habitual patterns.  If you have any questions or want to discuss your situation and goals with me, I can be reached via The Sanctuary at 714-730-2233 or by calling my confidential toll free number, 888-210-1121.  Also, look for announcements of my upcoming seminars and workshops.
Have a Happy, Healthy, and Peaceful New Year!
